Would second Galen's guess that it's likely a fridge or other 
electromechanical thing.
If you have electric hot water, it could also be a hot water leak or a 
blown water heater element.

I have a spare Kill-A-Watt you're welcome to borrow, and most libraries 
have them to check out.

There are nifty expensive gizmos that hook up to your main feed and make 
guesses based on current profiles, but a bit of patience and simple math 
is just as good, and more satisfying I think.
A clamp-ammeter is a little bit of a pain, since it needs to go around 
just one wire, not the whole power cord.

PGE can show you hour-by-hour usage, which can tell you if the load is 
time-dependent or constant.
