   Ah! That's a clue. I use firefox and have it clear all cookies when I log
off. That could explain why I was regularly asked the questions, but not why
that ceased a couple of weeks ago.

   Well, yes, But I'm more concerned about banks being hacked than news sites
or the comics. :-)

   Given Brian Krebs' thorough coverage of POS card readers being hacked I
only infrequently use my debit or credit cards. Cash works very well: no PIN
or signature required.
