[PLUG-TALK] Organizing wall warts

I made my own power strip. I made a recessed panel in the wall to which
I added six 'old work' electrical boxes. One has a power inlet and the
other five have regular duplex outlets. I use a short extension cord
from the UPS to the power inlet, which supplies power to the outlets in
the other five boxes. The boxes are spaced several inches apart so each
duplex outlet can usually take two wall warts.

Of course, my walls were open so it was easy to do. You could still do
it even if your walls are not open. The part that took the most time
was finding a 120 volt 3-prong power inlet. I finally got one (designed
for exterior use to connect a generator) at Grover's in Vancouver. I
think all the materials came to about $20.
