[PLUG-TALK] Oregon USPS mail and Covid

All the mail in Oregon, even local-to-local letters in
distant parts of the state, is funneled through the USPS
regional sorting center near PDX. Some of those employees
have been quarantined for COVID; testing is incomplete.

Treat all your incoming postal mail as if the boxes and
envelopes have viable COVID virus on their outer surfaces.
Wear gloves, remove the perhaps-safe contents, and
sequester the packaging for a few days before recycling.
If available, wipe down contents with disinfectant; we
use diluted Simple Green D. Gently; strong disinfectants
can dissolve ink on pages and labels.

Be sure to wash your hands with soap afterwards.
Don't touch face and mouth and eyes, yadda yadda.

And recycle the damned junk mail before it enters
your home. Nobody should be killed by mail spam.

Keith
