[PLUG-TALK] A question on mail list behavior

Those of you who better understand the sociology of e-mail users than do I
might have some insight into this behavior.

When people respond to a message on a mail list, their response goes to all
subscribers. Why, then, do some folks also send a copy to the individual who
started that thread (or all individuals who responded to that thread) as
well as the list itself?

Is this because it's the default behavior of GUI MUAs?

A curious mind wants to know.

Stay well all,

Rich
