Yes, anything $750+ requires a signature. But that is not the only
problem; if it's shipped by Newegg they have a contract with FedEx
which requires that they ship everything with FedEx, although there may
be an 'exceptions' clause. If the package is signature required and
FedEx, you'll be lucky if you ever get it. Their drivers are under
pressure to get their deliveries finished on time, and standing on your
front porch waiting for you to answer the doorbell is bad, so they just
drive right past your house and mark the package 'no signature.'

I should also say that FedEx has a terrible level of damaged parcels.
Just about everything they have delivered to me has at least one corner
crushed, and over the past year I've had to return two shipments that
were unusable. One package looked like they backed a truck over it.
I've also had occasional problems from UPS, but FedEx is close to 100%.
And these days the best delivery service I get is from the good old
USPS. But except for eBay sellers, I don't know f any business that
uses them.

If you buy from a Newegg 'partner' the situation may be different,
because then the 'partner' may be the one in charge of shipping.
