I would like to point out that FedEx does not operate their trucks for
years (if they have ever done). The FedEx trucks and drivers are
subcontractors - thus not direct cost to FedEx.

This is not to argue about: less truck --> lower cost, but it is little
harder to account for - capital, rent and payroll expenses.

FedEx's target end state is essentially to become market controlling
entity outsourcing everything - but marketing, lobbying and accounting.
