Hi Stephen,

I have RH 7.2 and 7.3- I installed this with no trouble at all on the first
try. Have you perhaps done a customized installation that left things out? I
would first remove the RPMs you installed, then install gcc from your Red Hat
disks. Use a graphical installer, like Kpackage, it makes it a lot easier to
find things. Be sure to also install gcc- c++, and libstdc++ devel, all under
Development.

Also install Ghostscript, under Publishing, this driver needs it.

# rpm -e [rpm name]

removes the rpm, append --nodeps if it whines about dependencies.

# which gcc

tells if it is installed

# gcc --version

shows which version is installed.

You probably know this, 'make install' must be done as root.

hope this helps!

Carla
