That's also assuming that QWest used the same DSLAM in your CO that they 
use in the CO's that work with the Cisco modems. There are at least a 
couple of types of DSL out there, and unfortunately, the equipment doesn't 
cross over.

Just playing devils advocate. I haven't researched this at all, and the two 
modems may do the same job. I just figure that if the Cisco would work, 
Qwest would be willing to sell you one, if they're still distributing them.
