[PLUG] Even root can't write to /tmp?!

Nope, /tmp is under / which is mounted rw. I can write to other places on
/ as root, but not /tmp. Also, I found the same problem with /var/tmp
which is on a different partition - can't copy anything in there either.
Hmmm, I was saying in a previous post that I thought it could be hardware,
but I can get to all of my partitions OK and the data looks OK ( at least
as far as I've checked).
