[PLUG] Bounces copied to Postmaster

When mail is sent to non existing users, the bounces get copied
to Postmaster. Once upon a time this was useful. But now-a-days
this mail is 99.9% spammers just randomly trying addresses.

Two questions:

1) Can someone tell me how to configure (sendmail?) not to copy
   postmaster specifically on mail to users that don't exist.
   (Or point me in the general direction of the right documentation)

2) Does anybody see a downside to doing this.
