I think this is a great reason.  Everyone knows that Linus hates giving
speaches and hates formal engagements.  If he was invited to just hang out
with no pressure involved, he might be very interested.  It could be a
nice vacation to a beautiful state.  Maybe we could even provide a list of
things to see and do while he's here.
