The estimate I came up with (a generous estimate) was about $560 for the
trip.  With the CS dept offering about $150 that leaves the ACM with a
responsibility of about $410.  The food estimate was based on what I think
is a very generous 10/20/30 plan.  ($10 for breakfast, $20 for lunch, $30
for dinner).  I figure if he wants to stay 3 days (he always wants to get
here a day early), and eats lunch dinner the first day, 3 squares the next
day, and breakfast lunch the last day.  I've never done this before, but
those numbers seemed like a fair upper bound to me.  I know I can eat
lunch at a decent restaurant (chinese even) for less than $6.  And dinner
wouldn't be that much more.

I hope that clarifies the estimates.
