Trying to start the old' BSD-style vs. SystemV style flame-wars again?  I
think those embers are getting pretty cold these days.  :-)

(Background and Trivia:  BSD commands generally used single letters as
options, and could be clumped.  System V introduced the use of "-" before
each option or group of options.  As with many other areas of UNIX where
lots of people had strong opinions and too much free time, some very
passionate arguments erupted on BBSes and newsgroups.  This syntactic
difference was evern featured in The Cuckoo's Egg as a means to identify
the attacker as one of those subversive BSD types.)  [Disclaimer, I don't
have my copy in front of me so it might have been used to identify him as
one of those overconfident SystemV types. ;-) ]
