In following the link to your earlier email, I noticed that the motherboard
is made by Radisys. Did you know that the Radisys headquarters is local
(Hillsboro). You might think about trying to find a part # on the
motherboard and contacting Radisys directly to see if they can replace or
repair it. Here is the contact info:

Radisys Corporate Headquarters

Hillsboro, OR 97124
Phone: (503) 615-1100
Fax: (503) 615-1121

Good luck,

>Some months ago I reported on the purchase of a used Planar C3013T
>computer (http://plug.skylab.org/200201/msg00170.html). Well, one day
>the thing decided to simply not power up anymore. Turn on the switch --
>nothing. I've checked the power supply, and it is putting out + and - 12
>VDC, just like the label says, but nothing happens on the unit itself.
>So anyway, I called Planar to see if they could direct me to someone who
>could service the thing. They said that they no longer service it, and
>sold all their inventory to somebody called Derf in New York, and that
>they (Planar) didn't know anyone locally who could work on the unit.

>I checked out Derf on the web and found out that they buy and sell
>inventory. I've sent them an e-mail, but I'm not hopeful.

>Next, I decided to do a Google search on Planar 3013T. I got 8 hits!
>Unfortunately, they were both archives of e-mails I had sent to the PLUG
>list and the related replies! Sigh.

>I remember reading some recommended service houses on this list in the
>last couple of months. I'll check the archives and see if one of those
>places can work on this thing.
