I just got my response that both documents came through. So my 
conclusion is that something in the OpenOffice conversion to a .doc throws 
up a flag. I also noticed that my 6 word native Word2000 document is 19Kb 
and my page and a half OpenOffice .doc is 17Kb. Obviously some major 
differences.

That solves the attachment issue. Who knows what happened to my reply 
that got chopped. I guess it is rtf's for me from now on.
