I've had luck with:

ftp.cc.gatech.edu and
ftp.orst.edu

It takes a couple tries, but I have been able to get in and their throughput isn't too bad (around 90-100 kbytes/sec).  The main problem that I have had is that my md5sum for the 3rd iso image doesn't check out. (I've downloaded it twice and am on my 3rd time).  Haven't burned the iso's yet though.
