[PLUG] Invalid character in username for fetchmail

Well, I've solved my immediate problem...

When I look at my mail account configuration with the ISP, it stated that my
username was myname+mydomain.com, but I opened up a trouble ticket with them
and they responded that my username should be myname at mydomain.com.

Perhaps the "+" is really an invalid character... I don't know.

Thanks,
John Pelster

Yes, it is quoted...

I've also upgraded to the latest version of fetchmail, and now instead of
saying that there is an invalid character, it simply reports:

fetchmail: Unknown login or authentication error on
myname+mydomain at mydomain.com

This behaviour is the same whether I specify the account in ~/.fetchmailrc
or at the command line.

Thanks,

Have you tried quoting the username?
