What happens when Time-Warner-AOL decides, for obvious reasons, to adopt
the AOL email system for internal use?
Hilarious (but not surprising) things: lost mail, unreliable mail clients
and servers, disappearance of large attachments, legitimate users being
labeled as spammers and locked out, incompatibility with wireless devices,
and much more. According to this article:
http://www.msnbc.com/news/727898.asp
Time-Warner-AOL's top-level directive to use AOL's mail system was such
a disaster that many employees have moved substantially to pre-internet
practices: FAXes, phone, FedEx, and (gasp!) walking down the hall.
