A [PLUG] for hdparm

I run into disk issues fairly frequently and had never before really
considered tuning the darned thing.

However, I don't have an hdparm and I certainly don't have any init
scripts to run it.

While it's probably trivial to find the source for hdparm, would someone
be willing to show me their init script that sets things properly?  I
could write a quick and dirty one, but I'd like to see one with safety
checks and things that I wouldn't know about.
