[PLUG] font selection method forgotten

I feel nuts. A few weeks ago, I asked how to change the default fonts.
Someone gave good instructions, and it worked. Now I'm on a different
server, and I want to do the same thing, but I can't find that email.
I'm sure it's buried somewhere on this laptop, but I'm sure not
finding it.

I tried gfontsel, and it gives me a nice display, but it doesn't
change the fonts. I think there was another step, but it appears that
I need a memory jogger.
