Ya know, I used to be opposed to those form letters that some groups try
to get tons of web site readers to send in to their elected officials
(me thinking that hand written letters were more effective).
Now I'm thinking that if the officials themselves respond to our hand
written letters with form letters, then why should we bother with hand
written stuff they won't even read? It would be interesting to talk to
the "flunky working in [someone's] office", and ask him/her what is most
effective regarding letter writing - a few personal letters or a lot of
form letters? Or neither?

I don't suppose anyone knows how to contact our elected officials' hired
flunkies? ;)
