[PLUG] Any experience installing Oracle 8.1.7?

There are some problems with the JRE and glibc you'll have to contend
with. I've included the SuSE Oracle install URLs below. These
instructions helped me get Oracle installed last year on my SuSE 7.1
system. Since I installed Oracle I've upgraded my system to SuSE 7.2
and now to 8.0 and my Oracle installation still appears functional.

The JRE issue is noted in the common issues link for Oracle 8:

http://www.suse.com/en/support/oracle/db/81x_common.html

Here's the main Oracle 8.1.7 link from SuSE's website:

Good Luck,

Tony
