  whois.

  There are three whois servers:

   whois xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx at whois.arin.net		North America
   whois xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx at whois.ripe.net		Europe
   whois xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx at whois.apnic.net	Asia & Pacific Rim

  If that doesn't give you enough informaiton, try the 'host' command (which
does essentially the same thing) but, better yet,
http://www.betterwhois.com.

  nslookup has been deprecated.
