[PLUG] M841LR mobo under Linux --> Partially Solved

I found that PCI bus/devices information is passed through the BIOS and
for some reason can't be retrieved by the kernel on its own during boot up.
I added these options in /boot/grub/menu.lst to pass PCI parameters to the
kernel:
pci=bios,biosirq

Now I can see all devices with lspci and they all work except modem.
Could somebody tell me please if this modem
Silicon Integrated Systems [SiS] 56k Winmodem (Smart Link HAMR5600 compatible)
is possible to make working under Linux at all?

Many thanks in advance.

Alex
