Why wouldn't you connect the two 192.168.1.X nics together?
That got my sys's going last night, until I tried adding IP forwarding.
Grr.

3) I can't ping 192.168.1.1 from box one (the inside box) nor can
I ping 192.168.1.2 from two (the external box) : the result is
"destination host unreachable".
So obviously (to me) I'm having some sort of network routing
problem. Both computers are running redhat 8.0.
