OK, not so strange. I just don't know why I get the following errors
in the term window that I launch konqueror from on my twm desktop;

DCOPServer up and running.
trying to create local folder: File exists
trying to create local folder: File exists
trying to create local folder: File exists
trying to create local folder: File exists
trying to create local folder: File exists
trying to create local folder: File exists
kdeinit: Fatal IO error: client killed
kdeinit: sending SIGHUP to children.
KLauncher: Exiting on signal 1
kdeinit: sending SIGTERM to children.
kdeinit: Exit.

The lines up to and including 'trying....' all happen as the browser
is opening. The rest all happen as the browser is 'quit'ing. I'd build
the folder tree it is trying to make, or just remove the file that is
causing the errors, but I don't know what it is trying to do, and I'm
having difficulty figgering out where to discover those details.

Any ideas?
TIA!
