[PLUG] Identifying installed video board

Remember my thread about the root window being visually trashed on one of
the workstations? Well, I've decided the time has come to buy a replacement
video card. Before I do so, I'd like to identify what's there (without
taking it apart, of course).

  Running /bin/dmesg I see this:

Linux agpgart interface v0.99 (c) Jeff Hartmann
agpgart: Maximum main memory to use for agp memory: 28M
agpgart: Detected Intel 440BX chipset
agpgart: AGP aperture is 64M @ 0xf8000000

But, this does not tell me that I have an AGP card installed. I looked
through other /proc files without seeing anything I could identify as a
video card brand, model or amount of vram on board.

I'd appreciate a pointer to learn where this information is to be found. I
know that XFree86-config has a screen section; is that the only place?

TIA,

Rich
