Does anybody use APT for their RedHat systems? What are your thoughts?

TIA,

Jim

Last week I had some trouble updating KDE packages in order to fix a
screensaver bug for my RH 8.0 box. There were dependencies identified,
but I could not find the packages in RH rawhide that I needed to install
in order to correct the dependency issues. The deficient dependencies
were from older packages of KDE base and KDE libs, I believe. They
were, most likely, from KDE that was released prior to the RH 8 release.

I guess that I could try to install with rpm command with no
dependencies, but would apt-get help me more? I know that those of you
who use debian use this product and it sounds like you like it. But
what about those of you who have RH? Has any one tried apt?

TIA,

Jim
