No, it's just undefinable or useless.  A lot of the updating
algorithms on Unix use "rename over previous name".  Would you call
that a new file or an old file?  Do you think your neighbor would
answer the same way?

That's the problem.  "Creation time" means very different things to
different people, and thus at what point is actually useful?
