Try winex. Much better support for real games and after all that would be the whole point of wine.

Subject: [PLUG] Yes a basic wine question

Haven't tried wine in years and it's time again.

The path of least resistance is to see if it's already installed, and seems
to be on this RH 7.3 machine.

Mal-incantation is
$ wine something.exe
wine: error while loading shared libraries: libntdll.dll.so: cannot open
shared object file: No such file or directory

libntdll.dll.so is located in /usr/lib/wine
(I even added the path to ld.so.conf, but don't think that's why it's not
being found.)

man says I need a ~/.wine/config and there is a sample in the source
tarball. So I get that and see that /etc/wine.reg is the same basic file
and I copy that into ~/.wine/config.

Still no love.

Is there an envar that needs to be set?
