Warning: Im a newbie, dont take me very seriously. :) I'm hopeing to come
to the meeting tomorow night.
It *might* be the same, if someone forgot the .gz convention. .gz means it
is a zip file and the command
tar -zxfv File.name.tar has the -z to 'filter through the zip format' before
uncompressing. If that doesnt work tar -xfv should.
Then I would assume procede as normal.
