On the PostgreSQL lists ther have been several reports of this working
well if they haven't written the SQL too Microsofty-ish.

I've had a little dealing with sharing a database using SAMBA. In this
case it was for MAS90 and an almost antique version of RHL (6.1) and the
then current version of SAMBA and friends. I get reports of file
corruptions every few weeks typically a file that can be restored from a
copy they have on floppy disk. The person that set up the system _really_
had to tweak SAMBA trying to get rid of the majo file corruption problems.
Sine I'm a sub for support I can't get away with upgrading RHL so I
can't say if the problems experienced have been fixed in later versions.

Best of luck,
Rod
