I found all of the Xine stuff I needed at:

http://valhalla.freshrpms.net/

The only tricky part was learning that I needed to hit the "D5D" or "D4D"
button in Xine instead of "DVD". ;-)

I found the VideoLAN client (http://www.videolan.org/) to be painfully
simple to set up, but I've also heard horror stories from other folks.
I'd say to give it a try and if it doesn't work easily, don't spend too
much time making it work.
