[PLUG] Simulate remote-installation at the same location

Hi All Folks,

I prepare to simulate remote-installation of RH7.3 (software) via Internet 
with 2 PCs located in the same room and have no idea how to carry out this 
test.  Or whether it is possible to link 2 PCs with a crossover cable via 
NICs to perform this test.

Can some folks on the list shed me some light
