[PLUG] boot and start Gnome

Hello Guys, 
I am fairly new here.
I just installed redhat 7.3  and after a small effort,
it is talking to my netgear router MR 314.
But unlike before, now when I boot I get a login
prompt 
with my hostname dhcppc2. and after I login i have to
startX and then it starts my Gnome session.
Why did this start happening and more importantly 
what should I do to revert back so that when the
machine boots , it loads a Gnome session, without me
hvg to invoke it ? 
Shd I be changing the inittab file.
