I could do that, but the natural progression from there is a place I
don't want to go at the moment. Since I can't get him to think outside
of his box, I need him to see real thruput when he's at the keyboard
(and I'm either asleep or at work) and for me to see real thruput (at
his lack thereof) when I'm at the keyboard and he's asleep.

nic. I could change the ip of the box it's on, but then I'd have to
change the references to it in my workstation too. I was hoping for a
clever iptables command, or somesuch. I know what the ip's are of his
workstations.
