[PLUG] CUPS: the printer that would not die

My CUPS installation has started acting flaky. One of the symptoms is
having a printer stopped -- for no discernable reason. When I try to start
that printer (it's name is 'laser5'), it starts, but then a new printer,
'laser5@' is created -- stopped. Every time I go through this another '@' is
added. I've stopped with a phantom printer called 'laser5@@@@@@@'.

  Has anyone encountered this before?

Thanks,

Rich
