Sorry if this is off-topic, because it's not 100% linux related (okay it's
not even 50% related), and it's my first post here... so here goes.

I am looking for computer geeks (I mean "geek" in the most endearing way, as
I am one) to work at a growing company that just moved to Hood River, OR.

Here's the deal:

We're very linux friendly; alas the product is targeted at Windoze(gasp!)
users since that's the only way to make it in consumer electronics these
days:(  You can check out our website at www.streamzap.com and you've got to
cut us some slack for selling on www.thinkgeek.com and opening up our
hardware specs to an open source linux developer who made drivers for our
product (on SourceForge).  I hope to add at least RH linux support in the
near future as we grow and can afford to do so.

I'm looking to hire for the following position:

***Tech Support / QA / all around guru***

-Play with gadgets!
Test our product on all possible Windoze platforms, with every possible
program... break it, find bugs, (optional: fix them if you can).  Research
and buy the latest video/sound cards/motherboards/etc needed for testing.
Can you even imagine the size of that n-dimensional testing matrix?!! ;)

-Help people!
Save our poor customers who have to deal with above said bugs. (E-mail and
phone support).

-Know everything about hardware and software
Build systems, LANs, set up and admin Apache, MySQL, for our staging web
server; play with Mac OSX, linux, etc.

-Dabble in a bit of everything
PHP, HTML, JavaScript, Flash, MySQL for our website... VC++/MFC/Win32 for
our device drivers.  Experience not required in any of these technologies.
A desire to learn and tinker with several of them is absolutely required.

Salary range is about $24K + medical/dental, so you can look at it as either
a good paying tech support job or an entry level developer job (lots of
opportunities to branch into development).  Hood River,OR is about as
beautiful and laid back work environment as you can get.. see
www.gorge.net).
