Hmmm... Donna Nelson is against the bill...

Wrong stance to take Donna... now let me see... I've got her number
around here someplace...

The only known foe is Donna Nelson (R-McMinnville). Rep. Mabrey
(R-The Dalles) was mildly opposed but wanted to know more before
making up his mind. Rep. Barnhart was going to talk to him.

Jerry Krummel (R-Wilsonville) is an enthusiastic supporter -- but
has to declare a conflict of interest because he's a sales rep
for a Linux-based product.

Kelley Wirth (D-Corvallis) and Floyd Prozanski (D-Eugene) are also
enthusiastic supporters. Brad Avakian (D-Beaverton) is mildly
supportive.

That leaves Rep. Derrik Kitts (R-Hillsboro). No one knows where
his head is at on this bill.

I'm assuming, for the moment, that HB 2892 is dead and am prepared
to move on with putting media spin on the whole thing that will
help our cause, and then retiring to fight another day. However,
if Krummel, Barnhart et. al. are able to ressurect the thing (it
IS Easter weekend, right?) I'll be very pleased.
