Yes, but he says that you're breaking the law if you use a
firewall. Even with Oregon's DMCA law, that's not the case
because the law states:

"...for the purpose of facilitating in any manner the theft or
disruption of communication services,"

Clearly, a firewall does not involve theft of data and
it does not disrupt communications between consenting
parties to the communication.

I'm not saying that Oregon lawmakers are not idiots for
passing the law, however. The author of this article may
be one.
