Not quite true. I think even Dreamweaver 4 generated valid HTML by
default, and I know it can be lightly hacked[1] to produce valid
XHTML. Dreamweaver MX and MX 2004 are even better, though I don't
know if they're guaranteed to produce valid markup by default. I know
I can get Vim to :)
I don't know about Frontpage. I think most people use it not because
they want to but because they use IIS with Frontpage extensions.
Standards have never really been Microsoft's cup of tea.
