[PLUG] Kernel upgrades on Slackware

On my Red Hat systems a kernel upgrade requires that the new package be
installed (rather than upgrading or freshening the existing kernel), then
manually moved to /boot and lilo/grub hand edited. Is the procedure the same
with Slackware?

When I upgrade the distribution the kernel, modules and other critical
components are replaced. Of course, the new one doesn't take over until the
system is rebooted, but the files are put in the proper directory and
lilo is updated to reflect the new kernel and modules. How do I handle the
upgrade from 2.4.22 to 2.4.23?

Thanks,

Rich
