Derek,

When I plug in the camera and try 'photopc list', I get:
Error 13: open /dev/photopc error Permission denied.

I tried this after linking /dev/photopc to /dev/ttyUSB0 and /dev/ttyUSB1.
/dev/photopc has mode 777.

When I type 'lsusb' with the camera connected via the adapter I see:

Bus 002 Device 001: ID 0000:0000 Virtual Hub
Bus 002 Device 002: ID 054c:0069 Sony Corp. Memorystick MSC-U03 Reader
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 0000:0000 Virtual Hub
Bus 001 Device 002: ID 0b39:0421

The bottom line is new so I think I'm getting there.

Thanks,

Rich
