That's why you rent a car. It's MUCH cheaper for even monthly trips out
of town and I'll bet you don't get out that often.

Right... so rent a car. That's what I do.

Uh huh... and then you've got to fill it three or four mor times before
you leave town again... then you've got to pay insurance and maintenance
and then there's the massive public subsidies... The list goes on.

Cities are constantly changing shape and scope. They're dynamic
structures. No, you couldn't have everyone in the 'burbs move into the
city TOMORROW, but that's not going to happen anyway. Better to move them
in one household at a time.
