[PLUG] segfault

How can I, as an advanced user but not advanced programmer, track down the reason for a
segmentation fault?

I'm trying to use imgSeek[1] and it seems to randomly segfault without error nor core
dump.  I would like to help out the dev team by sending them some useful info.  Clue less
as to where to start.  Is there some program I can run with it that traces it as it
executes?
