[PLUG] Multiple compiler versions

Chris,

  Perhaps at Saturday's clinic. I traced through the scripts to one that
calls /proc/version and reads that. That's when I ran out of time and
knowledge.

  While Slackware-9.1 installed the 2.4.22 kernel with gcc-3.2.3, Emperor
Linux apparently built the kernel and modules on a Red Hat 7.3 system. I
don't know if I can build this one module with gcc-3.2.3 and have it load
and work properly. If I can work with One Who Knows What He's Doing I'd be
happy to explore options.
