[PLUG] Help --- System won't boot

I the last week I put on the lastest fixes from ManDrake for my 8.1 system and 
Didn't reboot. Tonight I was trying to get an X session going from my windows 
pc. I had done an export DISPLAY=x.x.x.x:1 via telnet ad tried a few pc 
x-servers and got no where. I decided to use the ManDrake conf tools to tell the 
system to startx when I boot.

So I rebooted... Now I get /etc/rc.sysinit: mount command not found
followed by
grep: /proc/cmdline no such file or directory

now what???
