[PLUG] busted AGP slot?

You can try to fix the board, but these days it really is cheaper to
just buy a new motherboard.  Not worth the trouble to fix it.  Both of
you will be much happier with the finished product.  These motherboards
are multilayer boards and the force used in busting the old card out
probably delaminated at least a few layers.

Ask you Dad to wait for you next time to work on the systems.
