Go to Control Panel and run Add New Hardware.
It will scan your machine and probably find it.
If it doesn't, you can add the driver yourself with it.

Subject: [PLUG] lost cd-rom drive under win

Sorry for asking this question here, but I can't google it, been trying for
over an
hour. Can't find it in the SARC site, either.

Maybe a good flame Mike will divert attention from the recent drama on the
list.

Is there a virus or something that knocks out the cd-rom drive in win9x?
I've gone
through all of my regular tools. Damn thing just got my laptop, too. I know
the
drive is fine, because it works great when I reboot into RH 8.0. I'd dump
the win,
but I must run access for a customer.

I've seen three good cd-rom drives unavail in "my computer" on win98 and
win95 in
the last two weeks. All in different locations, all had current virus
protection and
whatnot.

Sign me-- Totally Stumped.
